Beau.Walker@LutherRice.edu

B.S., M.A., M.Div., Ph.D., Liberty University School of Divinity

Born and raised in the mountains of eastern Tennessee, Beau Walker grew up ten minutes from southwest Virginia, thirty minutes from eastern Kentucky, and forty minutes from western North Carolina...in the heart of everything Appalachia.
Other than the typical Easter service, there was very little influence of Christianity in his young life.  However, when he was nine years old he began attending Higher Ground Baptist Church, in Kingsport Tennessee where he accepted Christ as his Savior during a revival service led by evangelist, Bailey Smith.
It was during his first semester at East Tennessee State University that he felt the Lord’s calling on his life into ministry.  From there, he has dedicated his life to Christian Education and has earned an M.A. in Theology, an M.Div. in Biblical Studies, and a Ph.D. in Philosophical Theology from Liberty University. Professionally, he has expertise in course and program development, has served as the coordinating subject matter expert for the development of large academic centers, and has helped over a dozen Christian universities and colleges grow their online and residential enrollment.
Beau met his wife in the winter of 2002 while we were attending Liberty University. We have been married since 2005 and have two rambunctious little boys, Boone Gray and Penn Solomon.
