Missions Purpose

Morris Center for World Missions

At Luther Rice College & Seminary we realize that the God-given task of global mission has never been more necessary or challenging than now, as we face the twenty-first century.

Luther Rice equips students to be effective in their efforts to the point that each student, regardless of degree program, is exposed to God’s heartbeat for the world.  For each trip sponsored by Luther Rice, class credit is available, offering students the chance to get practical, multicultural missions experience in the context of their education.

We are not a sit-on-the-sidelines kind of school.  Our mission efforts are focused toward sharing the Gospel with every man, woman and child on the planet – all for the glory of God!

"And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Matthew 28:18-20

The Morris Center for World Missions is the hub of Luther Rice’s Great Commission efforts, helping develop students and faculty members who are Great Commission servants of their local churches.  The Morris Center for World Missions serves the Luther Rice community in four major areas: academics, research, mobilization, and convention relationships.
