Student Government

Student Government Association

Making a difference in the lives of our students, in our local community, and in our school.

Although Luther Rice is traditionally a commuter and online campus there are various activities and Student Government Association available for students to become involved.  The Student Services department and Student Government Association sponsor and host different events throughout the semester.  Make sure to visit the website often and view the Calendar so you can make plans to attend campus events.  We look forward to seeing you at our next event!

Core Values

The Student Government Association (SGA) at Luther Rice College & Seminary is committed to:

  1. Spiritual Vitality: a strong spiritual foundation grounded in biblical integrity and godliness, demonstrated by such disciplines as prayer, worship, and evangelism.

  2. Sustain Excellence: the highest standards of achievement in all our endeavors for the glory of God; especially in those areas related to servant leadership, effectiveness, efficiency, stewardship, organization, and Christian commitment.

  3. Creativity and Innovation: fostering an environment that pioneers fresh ideas to advance the mission, through the expression of our gifts, skills, and talents.

  4. Authentic Community: the establishment and maintenance of a culture that facilitates genuine, heartfelt unity, fellowship, and communication within a diverse body of believers.

SGA Monthly Meetings

All students (online and on-campus students) are welcome to join the bi-monthly meetings.  Be a part of this growing community of students by volunteering. Complete the SGA Volunteer Form and return it to SGA@LutherRice.edu.

Spring 2017 Meeting Dates: (Pending)

Can't attend on campus?

Well, no worries, because Luther Rice is now offering two other alternatives in order to participate in the bi-monthly SGA meetings.  You can now join other students online for a SGA Video Conference Meeting or a SGA Conference Call; whichever you prefer.  Email SGA@LutherRice.edu if you are interested in the conference meeting option.

If you are interested in becoming involved with SGA please fill out an SGA Volunteer Form and return to Tracie Hunter, SGA President, at SGA@LutherRice.edu.
