Quick Facts
The big questions prospective students ask about studying at Luther Rice.
100% ONLINE
Are all degree programs available 100% online?
Yes. Every undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral program at Luther Rice can be completed 100% online. Students can earn their entire degree, from application to graduation, without ever being required to come to campus. While all programs are delivered online, Luther Rice is headquartered in Metro Atlanta, where our campus serves as the home base for faculty and staff and supports student resources, institutional operations, and on-campus events. This allows us to combine the flexibility of online education with the strength and accountability of a grounded, established campus community.
What does the online learning experience look like at Luther Rice?
Luther Rice’s online learning experience is asynchronous, allowing students to complete coursework on a flexible schedule while still following a structured academic calendar with defined start dates, deadlines, and course expectations. Courses are intentionally designed to be clear, engaging, and accessible on your schedule. Through a thoughtful blend of a traditional academic calendar and high-quality pre-recorded lectures, discussion boards, and course assignments, students complete coursework on their own time while maintaining the same pace and academic standards as their peers. While there are no required live classroom meeting times, faculty interaction, peer discussion, and ongoing academic support ensure that—even online—you’re never alone.
Do online students receive the same instruction and academic support as on-campus students?
Absolutely. Online students at Luther Rice receive the same academic rigor and Christ-centered instruction, with equal—and often greater—access to faculty and support staff. Because course content is delivered through pre-recorded lectures, faculty are able to focus more intentionally on student engagement, feedback, and mentoring, with a contractual commitment to respond to student communication within 24 hours. Luther Rice has been a leader in online education for 20+ years. Online education is not inferior to on-campus; it is simply a different delivery model. Students receive full access to faculty, advising, writing support, library services, and ongoing academic care. We take pride in serving and staying connected with our students, wherever God has placed you.
Are there any required campus visits or residency components?
No. Luther Rice designed its programs to serve students around the world, so there are no mandatory campus visits or residency requirements. If you want to visit campus or attend special events, you’re always welcome—but nothing is required.
Accreditation
Is Luther Rice accredited?
Yes. Luther Rice College & Seminary is accredited, holding both regional and national accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), and the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). *Luther Rice is not accredited by ATS. At the time of our accreditation pathway, ATS did not accredit fully online theological institutions. As a result, Luther Rice pursued accreditation through highly respected and comparable Christian accrediting bodies that affirm academic rigor, faculty qualifications, and institutional integrity—while fully supporting our 100% online educational model.
