Matthew Solomon grew up in Pensacola, Florida and attended Olive Baptist Church. After earning his BA in History from the University of Central Florida, Solomon earned an MA in Biblical Studies and PhD in New Testament and Greek from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. While in New Orleans, Solomon served as a Life Group Leader for Celebration Church. Solomon’s research interests include papyrology, New Testament textual criticism, and Pauline literature. He has served as Senior Project Director at the Center for New Testament Textual Studies, Managing Director at the NOBTS Museum of the Bible and Archaeology, and Adjunct Faculty at NOBTS. Having relocated to Cincinnati, Solomon currently serves at the Church of the Redeemer in various lay roles, hoping to strengthen the connection between the church and the academy.
