Hardware Requirements

  • Windows 10 (fully updated)
  • Mac OS X 10 or greater
  • 8 GB ram or more
  • 240 GB hard drive (must have at least 60% available/free disk space)
  • Functional Web Cam

Software Requirements

  • Microsoft Office 2013 or later (Office 365 or 2016 preferred)   www.microsoftstore.com
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader (must use most recent version at all times)   www.adobe.com
  • Mozilla Firefox browser (version 70 or later)    www.mozilla.org
  • Google Chrome browser (version 78 or later)   www.google.com/chrome
  • Windows Media Player (or comparable)   www.microsoft.com
  • Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware Software Recommended (Webroot Security Suite or PC Matic are two options to consider- Subscription required)
  • Do not use Internet Explorer with Blackboard LMS (online classroom)

Internet Connectivity Requirements

A Broadband Internet Connection (10 Mbs or faster) is required

Not Supported

  • Safari Browser (Apple/Mac users should use the Mozilla Firefox browser.)
    Safari will work if you enable 3rd Party Cookies within the Safari settings.
  • Windows Vista (Some students use Vista, but we also see a lot of problems with that operating system)
  • Windows XP (This product has reached its end-of-life.  Microsoft will no longer be releasing security updates or patches, which makes this product a significant security risk.)
