Associate of Arts in General Studies

What if you had an option to complete a portion, or possibly all, of your general studies requirements 100% online or in combinaiton with on-campus courses at a like-minded, accredited, and affordable Christian college like Luther Rice?  Now you do!

Whether your end goal is an Associate Degree, a Bachelor's Degree here at Luther Rice, or if you plan on venturing off into your major requirements at another school in the future, the Associate of Arts in General Studies provides you with a firm foundation of general studies taught from a biblical worldview.

High school graduates and parents, this is likely a solution to a problem many Christian families with teenagers graduating from high school are wrestling with, sending their sons and daughters off to schools with conflicting worldviews (especially in the area of general studies).

Students in this program will benefit from a biblically based general studies education in areas such as Physical Science, Critical Thinking, Philosophy, World Literature, US History, American Government, Economics, and more.

Luther Rice College and Seminary is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

The Associate of Arts in General Studies is designed to provide students with a broad foundation of knowledge and skills across various disciplines. The program includes humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, and other general studies courses, allowing students to explore their interests and build a strong academic foundation. The degree prepares students to be lifelong learners who serve the church and community as winsome ambassadors for Jesus Christ. The degree program is ideal for students who are undecided on a specific major, want to complete an Associate Degree in General Studies, or want to transfer in the future to another college or university to complete a bachelor's degree with a major discipline not offered at Luther Rice.
